Journey Under The Midnight Sun (♥♥♥♥♥) by Keigo Higashino
This book is about when a man is found murdered in an abandoned building in Osaka in 1973, unflappable detective Sasagaki is assigned to the case. He begins to piece together the connection of two young people who are inextricably linked to the crime; the dark, taciturn son of the victim (Ryo) and the unexpectedly captivating daughter of the main suspect (Yukiho) . Over the next twenty years we follow their lives as Sasagaki pursues the case – which remains unsolved – to the point of obsession. I found this book is very intriguing, I just cant stop reading it, at first I thought it was just a normal story about an old man (Ryo’s father) got killed because of cheating with Yukiho’s mother. That’s what I thought it is, but Yukiho’s mother also end up dead so , maybe Ryo’s mother killed them. Well, that’s what I’m persuming after a few chapters, as the story goes, they also grow up, of one become a very elegant, beautiful young lady, live with her aunt, her only family, and Ryo he doesn’t live his mother again, his mother live with his father trustwothy right hand guy named Matsuura. Soooo, no more spoiler hahahahaha. Anyway, i love this book so much i cant even stop flip through the pages, its just soo wow, especially at the end of the story, you just cant believe it, the twist so amazing , this is my first Keigo book , soo im planning to buy others, check his website , and see what other books he got. I really recommend this book, for readers like me who love murder, thriller , twist, this is the one. This book is at the top list of my favorite books.
